The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the significant range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area daily. The company issue created for intervention ordeals a SRD significant influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to allow the servicing of all prospects and raise access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
